your first night out

Your first night out in Glasgow is sure to be one to remember! Whether you’re heading to The Garage or exploring other hotspots, it’s important to make the most of your experience while staying safe and having fun. Here are some tips to ensure your night is as enjoyable as possible:

  • GET THERE EARLY
Freshers’ Week can be busy, so arriving early is a good idea to avoid long queues and clubs often have entry deals if you get there before a certain time.
  • BRING YOUR ID
Clubs are strict when it comes to entry, so make sure to bring your driving license/provisional license, BRP card or passport, young scot cards don’t work for most bars/clubs.
  • DON’T FORGET ANY VOUCHERS/PASSES
If you’ve been to any of the freshers fairs at this point, you’re likely to have a stack of flyers/passes/vouchers – have a look through and take advantage of any discounts while you can!
  • STAY WITH FRIENDS
Staying with your friends is important – you can look out for each other, making your night safer and more enjoyable. Most clubs also have a lone-person policy which means you can’t come in alone.

Are you part of a university society? We offer some amazing year-round deals just for societies of all sizes. These exclusive discounts can help make your socials more affordable, and help ease the entry process. Simply email hayley@hfents.com to arrange your deal!
