I have worked with the company for 8 years, starting in the Tunnel Nightclub. First, I worked on the bar before working my way up to management. 5 years ago I transferred to The Garage and have continued to expand my experience as General Manager. Most of my experience has come from working for Hold Fast Entertainment.
I enjoy many styles of music but I do love a good 80’s playlist. Especially on a night out!
I enjoy seeing new places and love trying different types of food. Thailand was a beautiful place that I visited not long ago! My next trip will be to Las Vegas and Miami! Hopefully I can see the Grand Canyon by helicopter when I go.
I’ve been with The Garage for 5 years, working my way up to General Manager. Before that I managed other venues and I used to DJ for quite a few years. I also have a degree in Music Business!
I like everything from Neil Young to ABBA! But really I’m just a big emo kid at heart.
USA every bloody time.
Assistant General Manager
I have worked in The Garage since I was 18. For the past 2 years, I’ve been an Assistant Manager. Before that, I worked my way up on the bar.
I will listen to pretty much anything, except from heavy metal/screaming bands. I don’t quite understand that style of music.
I would love to go to Australia and Dubai to go skydiving. If I had the chance I would like to go travelling at some point later on in life and visit as many places as possible.
Trainee Assistant General Manager
I have worked at The Garage for over 10 years having had a hand in nearly all aspects of the club. Recently, I was promoted to Assistant Trainee Manager. Before that, I have been the FOH Manager; Facilities Coordinator; Charge-hand Cleaner; and Charge-hand Glass Collector. I have a degree in Fashion Business and recently achieved a Diploma in Egyptology. Currently, I’m studying a Masters’ degree in Ancient Cultures.
Wide range! Classical: Beethoven; Ska/Punk: Less Than Jake; Rock/Metal- Faith No More and Iron Maiden.
Never been on holiday but I would love to go to Italy!
PR & Marketing Manager
I’ve worked with Hold Fast Entertainment for four years now. Prior to that I was studied English at University of Strathclyde. I got a wee piece of paper that says I know things and stuff about dots and dashes. I also ran external club nights across the town (Flying Duck and the Record Factory), before becoming a part of the joyous oddballs at The Garage.
Indie with a wee slice of pop-punk and techno dunked nicely in house.
Berlin and Brooklyn are a tie.
I left school when I was 16 to study Beauty Therapy at college. After quickly realising that wasn’t the subject for me, I went on to study Interactive Media. I have been pursuing a career in Graphic Design for 5+ years.
Classic rock, 60’s folk & Lana Del Ray.
I want to visit Hobbiton (I’m a bit obsessed with Lord of the Rings).
DIGITAL MEDIA MANAGER
I grew up on the east coast of the Scottish borders and moved up to Glasgow to study Media and Communications. Having fallen in love with the city, I have been living here since. I have been working for The Garage for almost 2 years, starting out as a PR Supervisor.
Everything that isn’t too screamy!
I love Rome! I also want to go to see the Northern Lights and go to New York City for New Year.
I’ve not long joined Hold Fast Entertainment, taking up the position as Technical Manager of The Garage and Cathouse Rock Club. Before that, I freelances as a Sound Engineer for a few years, maybe 3… I worked at the O2 ABC for 5 years and the Academy venues for 10. I also freelanced with multiple audio companies and spent a few months working in Greece for a company looking after the nightly – and sometimes daily – entertainment. I’ve been about you could say!
I like heavy metal – including the screaming fast stuff, but I’ll listen to pretty much anything really.
I’ve got a wee boy now, so I’d love to take him all over the place really. Always wanted to see Australia and Japan. My wife and I went to Vegas for our honeymoon which was amazing! We saw the Grand Canyon, well we went into the Grand Canyon on a helicopter. I totally recommend it!
